Cyanotype

Below are some quick cyanotype prints I made to test out the medium. I’d like to experiment more with processes like this that harness/are made possible by material-material interactions – something where I can simply construct a set of conditions and then allow a nonhuman agency to take over.

I’m unsure as to exactly how I might use this specific technique going forwards – perhaps I could bring it into my sculptural or drawn work in some way? Making the process behind the piece clear would be important as purely aesthetically it is not really clear its significance. Perhaps if I used it on 3D forms, creating some kind of sun-capture of the surface, this would help literally straddle the gap between my 2D and 3D works?
