Rock tracking considerations

  • tone of voice with presentation?
    • playful vs austere
    • dry, more scientific tone? playfulness coming more from the piece itself
    • accentuating volume/accumulation of photos
  • best ways of documenting that maximizes choices later
  • any kinda of live/other footage? satellite views?
  • make the lines into big drawings
  • what does it mean to focus on one rock on a whole lively beach?
    • an overwhelming documentation of material
    • not making it about a singular ‘heroic rock’
    • camouflage the rock? perhaps another rock tracking where the rock isn’t white/visible, you just know it’s in the picture somewhere – as in Karolina Sobecka’s Picture Sky
    • what is it to create an individual from the masses? is it representative? or imbued with a special importance?
  • carry on pictures beyond rock disappearing?
